Saulena Antanaviciene is Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a therapist at Elemental Center Ltd. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, Lisle. Saulena completed Fellowship program and postgraduate training program of Psychodynamic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis and is an active member of Multicultural Psychotherapy Study Group.
Saulena started her career working as psychiatric nursing team member with patients’ dealing with psychological distress, acute and chronic mental illnesses all of which reinforced and solidified her intense interest in human motivation, behavior and understanding people and their struggles. Saulena’s work experience has included working as crises mental health assessor and a therapist with adults, children, adolescents, families and couples experiencing wide array of psychological difficulties. She also serves for several years as supervisory counselor in Lithuanian-American community in Chicago providing support for psychological help-line callers dealing with acute psychological crisis and adjustment. Saulena speaks also Lithuanian, Russian and German. Saulena is a member of Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association and Lithuanian-American Psychological Association.
